Court of the tomb-mosque of Barkûk. In the Eastern Cemetary. A fountain for ablution, shaded by two trees, stands in the centre of the court, which is surrounded by a colonnade. The sanctuary occupies the space between two fine domes, one of which is shown above. Barkûk died in A.D. 1399.
