7 BCE: Herod's sons Alexander and Aristobulus are charged in another plot to kill Herod. Herod has them executed at Sebaste, Samaria.

A group of immigrants, most wearing fezzes, surrounding a large vessel which is decorated with the star and crescent symbol of the Moslem religion and the Ottoman Turks.

Moslem graves under 'The Oaks of Bashan.' At Tell Hazûr, near Bâniâs. There appears to have been a complete circle of evergreen oaks here, surrounding a temple or an altar. It is still regarded as a holy "place," and is now dedicated to Sheikh Othmân of Hazûr. A group of ruins called Hazûr exists not far from this spot.

Fountains in the court of the mosque of Sultan Hasan. The recess beyond it on the eastern side of the court is the sanctuary. The arch is ninety feet in height.

The Shrine of Neby Yûnas, at El Meshhad. This is one of the many Moslem sanctuaries in Syria dedicated to the Prophet Jonah
