The Palace of Hâsbeiya. Scene of a terrible massacre of Christians on June 3rd, 1860. The fountain if Hâsbeiya forms a copious stream which flows into the Hâsbany.

The valley of the Adonis (Nahr Ibrahim). The scenery in this valley was not surpassed by any in Lebanon. The hillsides are in many places clothed with pines and oak-trees, and groves of mulberry and fruit-trees border the stream.

El Kûweh, the natural bridge over the Lîtâny. It is formed of a number of fallen rocks, which have left a passage of about one hundred feet in height for the stream below
