On f. 141v, exagerated adiuration formula (parody?) and charms against the falling sickness, the bite of rabid dogs, to help sick animals or humans with toothache; on pastedown, elaborate dating for 1262, with the 12th episcopal year of Reginald of Paris.

The printer, Anthoine Vérard, kneeling center, presents his book to the king of France, Charles VIII (1492). Behind Vérard, Josephus (died circa 93 CE), holding a scroll with his name on it to identify him as the author, looks on approvingly. Behind Josephus, a scene of mayhem typical of The Jewish War plays itself out. In the foreground, a mounted King Charles enters Paris, and, center right, Charles's servants hold his horse while he receives the book from Vérard.
