View from Tell Hûm, with fishing-boat. There is no sign of any harbour having been constructed here, and in stormy weather it would be difficult to effect a landing at this spot

The castle and the harbour of Saida, the ancient Sidon. Called Kul'at el Bahr (Castle on the Sea). It stands on a rocky island opposite the north-east end of the town, with which it is connected by an embankment with arches.
