Dorothea Lange was an American documentary photographer and photojournalist, widely recognized for her depression-era work for the Farm Security Administration (FSA). Lange's photographs humanized the consequences of the Great Depression and influenced the development of documentary photography. Lange is best known for her photograph "Migrant Mother," which depicts a mother and her children during the Great Depression.
